My son/daughter is new to the sport, where do I find the right equipment?
Boys will need a stick, helmet, mouth guard, shoulder pads, arm guards and gloves. Girls will need a stick, goggles and a mouth guard. The following local stores carry equipment and can help you find the right stuff.

What is the difference between a boys stick and a girls stick?
Boys sticks have full mesh pockets and are deeper than a girls stick. The girls sticks have 4-5 rawhide or synthetic straps with some mesh on the pocket but the pocket is not very deep when compared with a boys stick.
What type of footwear is needed ?
The league and training are conducted on indoor basketball court floors. Players should wear regular sneakers or tennis type shoes. No cleats or turf shoes will be permitted.
What type of clothing should players wear ?
SSA will provide a game jersey for each player. Since the play is indoors, players should wear comfortable clothing like shorts and T-Shirts
Do you supply indoor goalie equipment for boys?
Yes we do if applicable. Some of the training will utilize soft rubber balls in which case goalies will not need to wear equipment.
How long are the games for indoor lacrosse?
40 minutes running time
How big are the fields and what size cages will you be using?
The fields are 50’ x 100’ and we will have both indoor and regulation cages. Boys will use the small cages and girls will use the regulation cages.
For the league, can a team provide its own coach ?
Yes as long as the coach abides by our sportsmanship standards. If a team does not have a coach, SSA will provide one.
Can I get a discount for bringing my whole team?
If you are bringing your entire team to play in the league or train together, please call our director at 770-614-6686 to inquire about team discounts.
How do I know what skill and experience level each program is geared toward?
With the exception of the indoor league we will divide groups by skill and experience level so that we l have appropriate instruction for beginners as well as advanced Lacrosse players.
Who will be doing the coaching?
We are working with some of the top boys and girls Lacrosse coaches in the area.
